Sensor Check Out
Sensors can only be checked out and assigned to Athletes using the Smart Dock App located on the Dock. Sensors must be returned to a Smart Dock Station in order to upload data to the SafeWork System and to charge.
Notice
If an assigned Sensor is not returned to a Smart Dock Station, the Sensor will be reported as “Missing” in the SafeWork System.
-
To check out a Sensor, select a name or ID from the roster list located on the Smart Dock screen. If a barcode scanner is attached to the Smart Dock, it can be used to scan an employee ID.
-
After selecting a name, tap
to verify that the name is correct. -
Tap
→ to finalize your selection. -
The assigned Sensor will now flash blue indicating that it is ready for use and should be removed from the Smart Dock and worn by the assigned Athlete.
Notice
If an Athlete does not remove their assigned Sensor from the Smart Dock within 15 seconds, the check-out process will be cancelled and the Sensor Status Light will return to white. If the check-out process is cancelled, the Athlete may restart the check-out process to obtain a new Sensor.
Returning Sensors
When a Sensor is returned to a Smart Dock Station, it must be properly seated into a Dock Sensor Cradle for the Sensor to charge and transfer data between the Smart Dock.
Figure 5. Sensor States
Once a Sensor is placed on a Smart Dock, the Sensor Status Light (located at the top of the Sensor) will illuminate with different colors to represent the Sensor’s current status.
Docked (Red) A Sensor will be “DOCKED” when it begins to receive power and charge. At this time, the Sensor will also send messages to communicate with the Smart Dock. |
Connected (Orange) A Sensor will be “CONNECTED” when it establishes a successful connection to the Smart Dock. During this time, the Sensor will transfer any data it has collected to the Smart Dock. The Sensor will stay in this state until the battery is sufficiently charged. |
Ready for Use (White) Once a Sensor has transferred all data, and has a battery charge greater than 80%, it will be “READY” for checkout. |
