Movement matters.
The way people move every day affects whether or not they get injured. Poor movement leads to an increased likelihood of injury, whether it's accumulated over time or one big blowout. SafeWork teaches team members how to move in the strongest, safest, and most efficient positions by focusing on our 10 Foundational Movements (formerly known as the Worklete "Basics"). These basic skills help team members get stronger while doing their work instead of breaking their bodies down.
The Foundational Movements are:
- The Power Stance
- The Power B.R.A.C.E.
- The Power Zone
- The Hip Hinge
- The Squat
- Lifting from the Floor
- Transferring and Pivoting
- Stepping Mechanics
- Working Over the Shoulders
- Seated Posture
The Foundations are taught to team members via short lessons in our Training Platform that build habits and muscle memory over time.
Each lesson consists of online "theory" and in-person practice. This mixed-learning model creates consistent opportunities for learning, practice, and coaching which is proven to be the most effective way to create sustained change.
