Answers to common questions Industrial Athletes may have about participating the the SafeWork Program
Wearing a SafeWork sensor can help to reduce an athlete’s risk of injury by correcting unsafe behavior. The SafeWork platform also helps managers identify high-risk aspects of the workplace so that they can make data-driven decisions on how to improve safety for athletes. The goal of the SafeWork program is for athletes to return home to their families injury free – day in and day out.
The sensor only captures dynamic movement, such as bends and twists, and some environmental factors, such as decibel level and temperature. There is no microphone, GPS/geolocation, video/camera recorder or the like included in the device.
Athletes should not worry about potentially breaking a sensor as they go throughout their typical day. The sensor is industrial grade and drop tested to withstand any functional damage in typical job functions, this includes multiple 6 feet drops on concrete, water resistance, below freezing temperatures, and more.
